Pilates
for Pregnancy/Post-Natal
Specialist
Pilates in pregnancy Instructor. Keep in shape throughout your pregnancy
and get back in shape following the birth of your baby. This class
will help to increase your deep abdominal strength thus provide
support for the Uterus and baby, which acts as a splint for the
spine by keeping it in a neutral position. Aids childbirth by increasing
strength in the pelvic floor muscles. Promotes good posture and
stronger core strength which helps control pelvic tilt. Stronger
toned abdominals are less likely to separate. Modifications are
provided for each trimester. No Pilates Experience is necessary.

upper and lower body strength, with participants recording less
incidence of back pain.

originally aimed at professional dancers and is now used at most
dancing schools to help improve core strength and help keep the
back healthy and strong. We have a number of dancers attending our
classes who benefit by improving stability in the spine, and balance
and tone both sides of the body. One to One sessions are available.
